BBOpal KAL

I have joined a KAL that my favourite podcasters The Bakery Bears” have started the 25th of May and it’s running till 30th of June. The name of it is #BBOpalKAL and it’s all about to use up the stash of Opal yarns.
This is the one I have started with, a beautiful colour in orange and purple. The colour is: 9111

And I also decided to use their pattern as well. So a pair od socks called Incantation Socks by Kay Jones and you can buy it on Ravelry.
This is how far i have got on the first sock.

Two different socks at the same time

I’m knitting two pairs of socks at the same time, nothing strange at all with that, but they are for two different persons, and this is the first time I do that. The first pair is for me and the other for my husband who for the first time asked me to knit him a pair!! No preasure there!! First pair of them both are done and I have now started the sedond one for my hubby.

My Socks. A free Swedish pattern called: Anitas randiga i 4-trådigt Opal garn
Yarn: Black Opal and multi coloured ONline Supersocke 4-fach Neon Color
Needles: KnitPro Zing 2.50mm

 Husbands socks: Pattern is a mix between 2 patterns and payed for.
Yarn: Svarta Fåret “Frost”
Needles: ShiaoGoo 2.25mm

Socks and striped ones.

For some time now I have been looking at these socks and wanted to make a pair. Now I finally working on them, but finding a problem. Where the coloured yarn and the solid yarn switch places, a ridge apears on the inside of the sock and I hope I will not feel it when I’m wearing them. Love the effect though.

Det är ej ofta jag skriver här i denna blogg märker jag, då jag har flera bloggar, men jag skall försöka bli bättre på det.

Sedan jag sist postade Reyna sjalen så har jag avklarat flera stickade alster som jag kommer att visa här nu.
Först ut är Milos tröja då han är den av mina tre som är extra frusen av sig. Så han fick sin tröja först.

The Reyna Shawl off the needles

Finally finished this shawl that towards the end really gave me big problems which ended up making this shawl to be a month late. Never mind, It's done and I love it. I bought the yarn in Dublin this year in February. It's Hedgehog Fibres Sock and the colourway is Spell. I love the colour of this yarn but I don't like the yarn. It's splitting a lot and it's very squeaky. It feels like you are knitting with cotton and not wool, and it is 90% Merino and 10% Nylon. And when I was soaking it for the blocking it bled like mad. :( So I will not buy any more of this yarn and I have two other colours in my stash of this one, so I will use them but not buy any new ones unless they are sorting this out.

 

Off the needles today - Pyttipanna shawl No. 14

It's been a while since I knitted this shawl and this is the first one for this year. I felt I needed a autumn shawl so I knitted this one again for the 14th time.

My husband asked me to crochet a tablerunner for the shop so I did this one and it’s ready. He was really pleased over it.
