Time to come back to see how it goes.

I have decided to try to come back to this blog after I no longer can afford to keep my own domain. It's a very hard decision that I have to make after having it for so many years but the time has come to say goodbye to it. So Let's see if anyone are still interested in reading blogs or if it's all down to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (and some others) to post what we are up to.

Blogs are more friendly that the other platforms just mentioned so I can only hope that some people will follow me here, time will tell. If it doesen't then I have to do what everyone else are doing and do all this on FB and IG mainly.

Feel free to write a reply to this.

Skriv gärna ett svar på detta.

So here we go!!

/Diana

Project Bags

Beautiful gifts from a dear friend.

I can't beleive that I'm so lucky to get these beautiful gifts from a friend in my Facebook group. I was mentioning that I have three sewingmachines and non of them are working properly and I really want to have my mums old Singer from 1960 serviced and fixed, but we don't have any shops in town that does services on sewing machines, so I need to drive some distance to do it so it jut sits there and it's frustrating. I really want to learn how to sew these things for my knitting and then I might be able to sew some cloathes, but I'm not holding my breath.

So then she asked me what size I want them in and modles and I was starting to realize that she was thinking of making me one and she told me to pick fabric and colours from a photo she posted and Wow! it was hard to pick one because there was two colours and fabrics that caughted my eye so I was struggeling picking one so she then told me that she will make me two!!

So when these arraived 3rd of March I was averwhelmed over the bags and how well made they are and the little extra notion bag and all other little lovely things she added to it all just made me stunned.

I really hope that I one day can make these myself and I have already starting using the smaller one with a pair of socks that I have started to knit on.

first project has moved in. Happy days!

Bullfinch Mittens

I am a big fan of Bullfinches so when I saw these mittens, I just had to knit them, so I did. But it didn't go as planed, because when it was time to pick up for the thumb, something went horrible wrong and it ended up being ripped up, the whole thing and after that I just lost interest for a year. But this year I picked it up again and learned from my mistake and finished them. I am SO pleased with them and they are so warm.

I never thought that I could knit a pattern like this but I really wanted them so I just went for it, and I'm glad I did. I have learnt so much by making them and that will just help me in the future in the next pair I will make.

Yarn used: Du store Alpakka Sterk
Needle: 2.50 mm
Started: 26th of January 2021
Finished: 5th of February 2022

Green buttons

I finally got the buttons that I ordered from www.e-slojd.se January 13 but I had to remind them twice before they sent them. Anyway, these buttons are for the Oh-land cardigan that I knitted recently and after seeing these up front I decided on the biggest ones.

The sad thing with this one is that before I blocked it it fitted perfectly but now the yoke is massive and I need to sort it out in one way or another and I think I have come up with a good idea, so I will be trying that out first before I mention it here and show you what I did.
